Sell dental gold.Paid at the rate for its carat.

Old crowns and bridges are usually 14ct gold, now and then 18ct. They rarely look like much, but they often weigh more than you would expect. We test and weigh the metal first. The teeth come out only after you accept, and they are not paid for.

How long the offer stands

A gold ring held to the XRF reader.

The teeth come out after you accept.

Dental gold comes with teeth and other material attached. We test it by XRF, a quick test that reads the metal without marking it, weigh it, and make the offer on that. Only after you accept do we take out everything that is not metal, and that part is not paid for.

A lot of old gold on the scales, the weight on the display.

The same rate as any gold of its carat.

If it tests at 14ct, it is paid at the 14ct rate; if it tests at 18ct, at the 18ct rate. The offer shows the weight, the carat and the rate, and it stands for 24 hours.

Bring it in, or post it.

Post it: open an account and do the one-off ID check, and we send you a free pack, whatever the amount. Put your gold in, seal it and take it to a post office counter. It goes on our prepaid Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm label, addressed to our returns address: BE, Suite 53, 101 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1R 5BX. Keep your proof of posting. It is tracked and signed for. Please don’t post anything to our Hatton Garden office. When your parcel arrives, we weigh and test every piece by XRF, and the offer shows the weight, the carat and the rate. We send the XRF photo only when the reading differs from what you told us, either way. The offer takes off a rough estimate for stones, watch movements and dental teeth, so if you say no, your pieces come back as they were. Nothing is melted or altered before you accept. A visit is by arrangement at 34–35 Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8DX. Call 020 4569 2010 first, and bring photo ID.
